When Google Reader went away (RIP), I switched to self-hosted Tiny Tiny RSS, one of the first web services I ever learned how to host, and I'm still using it, just with a more modern, secure setup (I hope).

Being able to create flexible, custom filters to narrow down feeds to what I actually want to read, usable across web, mobile, and desktop apps (not using the latter, but I could!) is great.

I’d settle for outer peace at this point.
